Collect for the Fourteenth Sunday after Trinity
Almighty God, whose only Son has opened for us a new and living way into your presence: give us pure hearts and steadfast wills to worship you in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Post Communion Prayer
Lord God, the source of truth and love, keep us faithful to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, united in prayer and the breaking of bread, and one in joy and simplicity of heart, in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Richard Spicer, our Trainee Reader will be starting a placement at St Nicholas Kenilworth during September and most of October as part of his training. Please hold him in your prayers during this time. We shall miss him from our fellowship.

Songs of Praise
On the 19th September we will be having a Songs of Praise service at 6.00pm which Andrew Price has offered to play for. Please come along and choose your favourite hymns and songs and tell us why they are your favourites. If you want to take part can you let Jo know so we can put them into an Order of Service

God of love and mercy, be with all who are suffering, from hunger, drought, disaster, oppression and fear for tomorrow. May they know that you are the God of Love and hold us all in the palm of your hand.

One of the ways to build community is for the Church to respond to people who need support, such as those who have been bereaved, come out of hospital, had babies or anything else, by providing meals.  Jo would like to have a list of people who would be willing to prepare a couple more portions of their meal and deliver it to the person in need.  If you are interested, please speak to her.

Children’s’ Activities …   IN TERM TIME ONLY

Sunday School is open to all children between the ages of 3 and 11 years and it meets every Sunday morning at 9.30 a.m. in Cubbington school, except for the first Sunday of the month. The children are then welcome to come into church for a Blessing and also to tell the congregation about what they have learned.

The Edward Bear Club meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month between 2.15 p.m. and 3.15 p.m. for a time of drawing, music making and listening to stories. This club is open to all pre-school age children and babies, accompanied by their parents, grandparents and carers.

Tuesday Bears meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, from 3.45 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.  Children are able to participate in crafts, stories, and creative fun. This club is open to school age children from 5 to 11 years.

On the first Sunday of every month during the school term, we hold a Children’s’ Service in church, beginning at 11.00 a.m. This service lasts for half an hour and includes stories and songs.  Children and adults are welcome to attend this popular service.

Youth Group

The youth club is held on Thursdays in term time at the Cliff Cleaver Community Pavilion.  It is open from 7.00 p.m. until 8.30 p.m. but will not close until 9.00 p.m. during the lighter evenings.  The children enjoy spending time with their friends in a warm and friendly environment.  There are currently four volunteers running the group.  New equipment, such as games, televisions, craft resources and games consoles are currently being purchased.  There are a few spaces available and registration forms may be obtained from Cubbington Newsagents in Queen Street. The club is non-profit making and any donations or equipment would be welcome, as would anyone who has skills in music or craftwork, which could be used with the children.
